To Wave or Not To Wave??

2/28/22

Are you a waver? 🙂

Do you wave (or nod) at people (you may or may not know) when you pass them on the sidewalk, parking lot, or back road?  I grew up in the country where not to wave at everyone made you a big ole snob, and now I’ve talked with friends who say they never wave, especially if they don’t know the person because it may be perceived the wrong way.

It’s a crap shoot whether I do anymore – more often than not I’m thinking or praying (A.K.A. obsessing!) about something and don’t notice if I know who the other is.  I’ve been taken to task for that several times by friends/acquaintances who’ve been offended with the ‘nonresponse’!

So, do you acknowledge others when out in the world? And if you do, do you still even if you don’t know the person?

And while I seem to need neon lights, billboards, and flares in order to notice much outside of my own mind sometimes, today’s tune is about being attuned to the subtle ‘wave in the air’ of “Radar Love”.  This classic song is by Golden Earring and it’s about E.S.P. between two people who love each other.  Here’s a pretty awesome version of the song done live with Barry Hay (from Golden Earring) with a Belgium orchestra. Enjoy!
