Hello Good Person,
This week’s question is, do you have a favorite song that makes you smile every time you hear it? You have a good memory associated with it so your mind can take a break from the here and now and go back to that moment and it lights your heart up whenever you think of it? Would you care to share the song name and memory in the comment section at the bottom of the post? (You may have to scroll down a little to get to the comment area. And just FYI, what you write won’t show up until it’s been read and released by me. Your e-mail address will not be made public.)
When I was a young adult I supported a couple local bands. One was my guitar teacher’s (W.W.) and the other was comprised of guys either I knew from work or a couple or my friends knew from school (C.W.).
Unbeknownst to me, one of the times we went to see C.W. my friends told a friend of their’s in the band that it was my birthday (because it was!). So imagine my surprise when the singer mentioned that during their show and they played “Some Kind Of Wonderful” by Grand Funk Railroad in honor of it! (And no, I did not have that type of relationship with anyone from the band :))
But it was also unfortunate (in a fun sort of way) because the singer tried to talk with me from the stage while I was sitting, completely flummoxed (and delighted!), in the audience. Let’s just say, the poor dude ended up holding a very short one sided conversation because I couldn’t for the life of me get my brain to function enough to speak in complete sentences. (Thank God there was probably only 20 people total in the venue to witness that!)
What’s your song and memory?

I love that song, too! by Otis Redding. Do you care to share ‘why’. Ms, Blessing??? 🙂
