Hello, amazing you! Thank you for being here.
This was composed for an online class I took several years ago. It’s very appropriate for this time of year and the revelation written about that day continually grows deeper.
I’m a Bible reader and yesterday’s passage was from the Gospel of Matthew chapter 26, verses 1-46. It’s about the Last Supper. After reading it I had a sense of Jesus saying, “I died for you, too.”
“Even if you were the only person in the world, Jesus would’ve gone to the cross just for you; He loves you that much.” This was something I’ve come across in several different books and movies recently but I’d fight the meaning. My usual defensive self believed it was conjecture, a fanciful comment stretching an Awesome Truth to try to impress the masses even more.
‘Someone’ heard this doubt even though I didn’t speak it.
“I was Crucified for you, Pearl”, I heard in my spirit.
I responded, “Yeah, You died for the masses.”
“No, I did it for you, specifically. And for your loved ones, individually, as well as those who hurt you and every ‘one’ else. I died for each and I know every person’s name and every deed. I would do it again for any one of you.”
And I finally ‘got it’. I’m just not sure how long it’ll take to surrender to it completely, and to stop crying in gratitude. (I kinda hope, never.)
Thank You, Jesus.
Thank you, Eva, the class instructor. You taught with heart and wisdom. God bless you.
I hope you have a blessed Easter if you believe and/or a beautiful day if you don’t. See you back here on Tuesday!
