(This was written when I was a teenager.)
Far away in a fantasy world The only place that’s right for this girl, The dreamer sits alone in the sand capturing diamond dreams in her hand. Staring at nothing, laughing at less, trying to clean, her thoughts are a mess. Casting the change from reality to fantasy, Imagining things that she can’t yet believe. Throwing away her shyness she becomes a star, with friends and lovers not very far. Playing her part she laughs with ease, cheers of her fans coming from waves in the sea. But clouds fill her vision, the stars soon fade. No longer alive in the world she had made, packing up her dreams she bids them good-bye - promising to return - you know she’ll try. c. Pearl E.M.
Hope to see you on Monday, Wednesday at the latest! (God willing, health permitting!)
