As I’m healing from a physical ailment my brain cells are completely disinterested in writing something original, so today I am putting up one of my favorite poems by someone else.  This is an excerpt from Marianne Williamson’s book, “A Return To Love”.

(Have you heard of Ms. Williamson?)

I fully identify with these words.  I pray to claim the power of love God bestows upon me – it’s the only way to redeem all that has happened that was not of Love – by others as well as myself.  (I’m working on it . . . )

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be so brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?”
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us.
It’s in everyone.
And as we let our light shine
we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear
our presence automatically liberates others.

What do you think?

Friday’s post will be something I wrote as a teenager. See you then?
